As a rare species the bird was checked by local birdwatchers and then the indentification changed to a possible Yellow Wagtail x White Wagtail hybrid. It seemed to have characters of both yellow wagtail: yellow belly / flanks / breast and greenish grey mantle, and of White Wagtail: black head and breast. Actually this bird is just a White Wagtail male, with yellow colour. Identification from close range on the field was straightforward. The yellow colour was probably caused by some material used in nearby factory. Identification of this bird in poor conditions must be at least confusing. Västäräkki, joka voidaan sopivissa olosuhteissa määrittää vaikkapa risteytymäksi. Löydettäessa linnun arveltiin olevan virtavästäräkki. Havaintoa tarkistettaessa määritys muutettiin mahdolliseksi keltavästäräkki x västäräkki risteytymäksi. Lintu on kuitenkin värjääntynyt västäräkki koiras.
